Articles
Original Articles
The original
articles demonstrate the novel and scientific knowledge that has not been published elsewhere. These
articles feature prominent, new and compelling findings that are impactful to other public health
professionals
and related field researchers. The original articles should be no longer than 4,000 words
(excluding abstract and references) and contain no more than 8 tables or figures. The structure of
original articles should comprise Abstract (300 words maximum), Introduction, Methods, Results,
Discussion, Recommendation, Acknowledgements and References.
Review Articles
The journal
welcomes manuscripts for comprehensive review and analysis on the specific related topics, for
example, systematic review, meta-analysis, and integrative review. Review articles should be no
longer than 5,000 words (excluding Abstract and References) and a maximum of 8 tables and/or
figures. The abstract should not exceed 300 words.
Short Reports
Short reports are
similar
to original research in that, they follow the same objectivity, format and guidelines, but are
designed
for small-scale research or research that is in early stages of development. The manuscript
format
is
the same as original articles with a maximum of 3,000 words (excluding Abstract and References)
and
containing a maximum of 4 tables and/or figures. The abstract should be no more than 300 words.
Review Process
All
manuscripts are subject to review by at least two peer reviewers following a double-blind
process.
The
comments and suggestions from reviewers will be conveyed to the editors, and to the
corresponding
author. The revised version of the manuscript with a point by point response to reviewers from
the
authors will be returned to the editors. Finally, the decision to accept or reject is made by
the
editors, based on the recommendations by the reviewers.
Publication Frequency
Three issues: 1st
issue: January-April, 2nd issue: May-August, 3rd issue:
September-December.
Language
The manuscript is written in academic English. If
authors
are not native
English speakers, the editors recommend that the manuscript should be professionally edited by a
native
English speaker before submission.

All articles published in JPHD are Open Access.
Readers
have the right to read, download, copy, distribute and search for the full text of these
articles.
Publication Fee
This journal does not charge for submission or
publication.
