AIHD joined the MOU ceremony between Mahidol University and Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Public Health

On 27 September 2021, Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D., President of Mahidol University signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Mr. Yongyos Thammawut, M.D., on behalf of Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Public Health.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phudit Tejativaddhana, M.D.; Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development #AIHD, MU and Dr. Thaworn Sakunphanit, M.D.; consultant of Division of Health Economics and Health Security also joined as witnesses, along with AIHD administrators at Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Public Health.
The aims of this MOU were to create a mechanism based on the principles of primary health care and integrate guidelines into lifelong health services that used the primary health care system as a starting point and connect and combine the health services to enhance Thai health system policy to be a model for social protection. These objectives will be helpful to enhance and develop the health of people in ASEAN countries and countries around the world that applied the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy for operations in order to achieve the National Strategy and the Sustainable Development Goals.
