AIHD proposed the development of LM

On 22 March 2022, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phudit Tejativaddhana, M.D.; Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University and Head of The Development of Lifestyle Medicine (LM) project that was supported by Thai Health Promotion Foundation, along with Asst. Prof. Somsak Wongsawass; co-researcher proposed the working report via Zoom Meeting.

The aims of the presentation were to report the overall working performance and get suggestions for implementation. Dr. Pornthep Siriwanarangsan, M.D.; President of Preventive Medicine Association of Thailand presided over the meeting.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phudit Tejativaddhana, M.D.; head of project and Mr. Wichukorn Suriyawongpaisal; secretary of project presented working report, results of program development, and training report from batch 1-4. This was supported by experts and masters from many organizations that are Dr. Amporn Benjaponpitak, M.D.; Deputy Director of Metal Health Department, Dr. Rungrueng Kitphati, M.D., Kasem Wetsutthanon, M.D.; Director of Metropolitan Health and Wellness Institution, Department of Health, Dr. Sompong Chaiopanont, M.D., Dr. Titiporn Tuangratananon, M.D.; Department of Health : Ministry of Public Health, Adjunct Asst. Prof. Dr. Tanupol Virunhagarun, M.D.; Chief Executive Officer of BDMS Wellness Clinic Co., Ltd and BDMS Wellness Resort Co., Ltd, Thailand, and Dr. Jira Thawornpradit, M.D.; Director of Royal Life Wellness Bangkok together with Mahidol University Academics that are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wantanee Kriengsinyos; Lecturer of Institute of Nutrition, Mahidol University, and Asst. Prof. Monchai Chottidao; Lecturer of College of Sports Science and Technology. They exchanged knowledge and experiences and gave suggestions that are useful for synthesized policy proposals of Lifestyle Medicine across all service dimensions. They also strongly recommended the Lifestyle Medicine course to be accredited/certified for doctors and service providers in primary care.
