3rd meeting of Thai University Network – Health Promotion Network

On 26th July 2022, Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya; President of Mahidol University assigned Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication to chair the 3rd meeting of Thai University Network – Health Promotion Network. Co-chair of the meeting was Dr. Nattapan Supaka, Director of the Relations and International Relations Section, Thai Health Promotion Foundation; Prof. Dr. Narin Hiransuthikul M.D., Vice President of Chulalongkorn University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ronnapop Euaphanthaset, M.D. Assistant to the President of Chiang Mai University; Asst. Prof. Thanthip Saengsuwan, MD. Assistant to the President of Prince of Songkla University; Asst. Prof. Dr. Thawilap Tansawad, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Burapha University; and Prof. Dr. Wongsa Laohasiriwong, Dean of the Faculty of Public Health, Khon Kaen University. Others in attendance were Dr. Wiwat Rojanapittayakorn, M.D., Advisor to the Mahidol University Working Committee, ASEAN University Network for Health Promotion Network (AUN-HPN), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phudit Tejativaddhana, M.D., Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University and Executive Director of AUN-HPN assigned Asst. Prof. Dr. Supaporn Songpracha, Deputy Executive Director of AUN-HPN to join the meeting. The online meeting took place at Krasae Chanawong Meeting Room, ASEAN Institute for Health Development. Mahidol University. The 3rd meeting of Thai University Network – Health Promotion Network (TUN-HPN) was held in cooperation with the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (Thai Health) to assist universities in Thailand to develop capacity building and become leaders in health promotion, and also capable of applying the Healthy University Promotion Framework. As a result of collaboration between Mahidol University and five leading universities, namely Khon Kaen University, Chulalongkorn University, Chiang Mai University, Burapha University, and Prince of Songkla University, TUN-HPN's initial objective is to be able to practice thoroughly in order to gain an international recognition in "Healthy University Promotion" in order to result in sustainable good health of people and community. The purpose of this meeting was for all six TUN-HPN to report on the operation's progress toward health promotion, the outcomes of approvals, and to keep an eye on the creation of agreements to allocate the funding for the preparation of the 1st TUN-HPN Conference, which will take place on September 2, 2022, with Khon Kaen University serving as the lead organizer in collaboration with AUN-HPN. Additionally, information regarding the 7th International Advisory Committee (IAC) and the 3rd AUN-Health Promotion Conference 2022, both of which will take place on November 14–15, 2022, has been reported since May 12, 2022.
