On July 5, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chuthamanee Suthisisang, Acting Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University, and Executive Director of AUN-HPN, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Acting Deputy Director for Administration, ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University, and Deputy Executive Director of AUN-HPN, Asst. Prof. Dr. Supaporn Songpracha, Deputy Executive Director of AUN-HPN, Dr. Wiwat Rojanapithayakorn, Advisor of the Steering Committee of Mahidol University for the ASEAN University Network – Health Promotion Network (AUN-HPN), Dr. Nuttapun Supaka, Director of Partnership and International Affairs Section, Thai Health Promotion Foundation, and other TUN-HPN Committees, attended the 11th Thai University Network for Health Promotion Network Committee (TUN-HPN) Meeting. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Chirawath Phatsara, Chairman of the Thai University Network for Health Promotion Committee for 2024 - 2026 and Assistant to the President of Chiang Mai University. The meeting was held at the Phraya Siwisanwacha Meeting Room, Office of the University, Chiang Mai University, and via the Zoom Meeting platform.
This meeting marked the first official assembly of the Thai University Network for Health Promotion Committee since Chiang Mai University assumed the chairmanship of TUN-HPN for the 2024 - 2026 term. During the meeting, the committee discussed several key issues:
1. The summary of the 2nd Thai Healthy University Network Conference titled "Building a Culture of Health Promotion: Fostering Mental Health Awareness and Support on Campus", held on March 21 - 22, 2024, at the Montien Grand Ballroom, Montien Hotel Surawong, Bangkok.
2. The launch of the Healthy University Rating System (HURS) Version 2024, which will take place from August 16 to November 15, 2024.
3. The summary of the activities and accomplishments of the Thai University Network for Health Promotion Network in 2023.
In addition, the committee discussed and outlined the operational plan for the Thai University Network for Health Promotion Network for the next term, from May 1, 2024, to April 30, 2026.
Operations of the Thai University Network for Health Promotion Committee (TUN-HPN) was funded by Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth) to support universities in Thailand to develop their potential and become leaders in health promotion. In addition, the AUN Healthy University Framework (HUF) can be implemented thoroughly among the Thai University in order to achieve its goal of becoming a "Healthy University" and resulting in sustainability of good health in the community. The TUN-HPN Committee consists of 6 main universities, namely, Chiang Mai University, Chulalongkorn University, Burapha University, Khon Kaen University, Mahidol University and Prince of Songkla University to jointly drive health promotion policies as well as to expand the network both domestically and internationally.
