Mahidol University by the ASEAN University Network – Health Promotion Network (AUN-HPN) organized the HURS Workshop 2024 – The Evaluation of Healthy University Rating System (HURS)

On September 16, 2024, Mahidol University, through the ASEAN University Network for Health Promotion (AUN-HPN) Secretariat Office, organized the HURS Workshop 2024 – The Evaluation of the Healthy University Rating System (HURS). This event was part of the AUN-HPN Secretariat's annual plan to develop users of the Healthy University Rating System for 2024. On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chuthamanee Suthisisang, Acting Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University and Executive Director of ASEAN University Network-Health Promotion Network (AUN-HPN), along with Dr. Nuttapun Supaka, Director of Partnership and International Affairs Section, Thai Health Promotion Foundation, and Dr. Choltis Dhirathiti, Executive Director of ASEAN University Network (AUN), presided over and welcomed participants to the HURS Workshop 2024. The workshop was held at the Jamchuri Ballroom A (M Floor), Pathumwan Princess Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand. Also attended in the workshop were representatives from educational institutions, and AUN-HPN member universities in Thailand. During the workshop, Prof. Dr. Chartchalerm Isarankura-Na-Ayudhya, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University, and Chair of the Committee on HURS Development, presented and explained the updated criteria for the Healthy University Rating System (HURS) Version 2024. The new version includes revised questions to help universities interested in participating in this year's HURS evaluation to better understand the criteria and the data submission process. Participants also had the opportunity to test the University Data Entry system and discuss and exchange ideas about it. The Healthy University Rating System (HURS) was developed to encourage ASEAN universities to strive to become "Healthy Universities" under the AUN Healthy University Framework (HUF). It establishes 22 framework areas to evaluate progress and motivate network universities to prioritize continuous health promotion efforts, benefiting students, university staff, and the community. The HURS has an annual evaluation period from August 15 to November 16, starting from its launch in 2021 and continuing until the present. For the 2024 evaluation, interested universities can register at https://forms.gle/btuxNugrMs22o6X77 to gain access to the University Data Entry system. The evaluation will be open from August 16 to November 15, 2024.
