The 12th Thai University Network for Health Promotion Network Committee (TUN-HPN) Meeting

On October 4, 2024, Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, M.D., President of Mahidol University, assigned Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj; Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development and Executive Director of AUN-HPN, to attend the 12th Thai University Network for Health Promotion Network Committee (TUN-HPN) Meeting. The meeting was held at the Meeting Room 903, 9th Floor, Office of the President Building, Burapha University, and via Zoom Meeting. The meeting was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chirawath Phatsara, Chairman of the Thai University Network for Health Promotion Committee for 2024-2026 and Assistant to the President of Chiang Mai University. During the meeting, the committee discussed several key issues:
1. The outcomes of HURS Workshops in July and September 2024
2. The launch of the Healthy University Rating System (HURS) Version 2024, which will take place from August 16 to November 15, 2024.
3. Upcoming event: The 10th Anniversary of the ASEAN University Network - Health Promotion Network (AUN-HPN) in conjunction with the 1st AIHD International Forum 'Synergizing Global Health, Primary Health Care, and Health Promotion for a Sustainable Future'" during December 3-4, 2024
In addition, the committee discussed and outlined the operational plan for the Thai University Network for Health Promotion Network for the next term, from May 1, 2024, to April 30, 2026. Operations of the Thai University Network for Health Promotion Committee (TUN-HPN) was funded by Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth) to support universities in Thailand to develop their potential and become leaders in health promotion. In addition, the AUN Healthy University Framework (HUF) can be implemented thoroughly among the Thai University in order to achieve its goal of becoming a "Healthy University" and resulting in sustainability of good health in the community. The TUN-HPN Committee consists of 6 main universities, namely Burapha University, Chiang Mai University, Chulalongkorn University, Khon Kaen University, Mahidol University and Prince of Songkla University to jointly drive health promotion policies as well as to expand the network both domestically and internationally.
