The ASEAN Institute for Health Development Organized a Study Visit on Health Service Systems for Master of Primary Health Care Management and Ph.D. in Health and Sustainable Development Programs Students

From February 10-13, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Director of the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Orapin Laosee, Deputy Director for Administration and Academic Services and Chair of the Master of Primary Health Care Management (International Program), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool, Deputy Director for Strategy and International Relations, led faculty members, and students from the Master of Primary Health Care Management (International Program) and the Ph.D. in Health and Sustainable Development Programs on a study visit to health service systems in Bangkok, Nakhon Pathom, and Ratchaburi provinces. On February 10, 2025, the delegation visited Public Health Center 67 in Thawi Watthana to learn about healthcare service provision for the population in Bangkok. Following this, they visited the Nakhon Pathom Dairy Cooperative Ltd., which exemplifies strong community-driven cooperative business management and dairy product quality control. From February 11-13, 2025, the faculty and students visited the Ratchaburi Provincial Public Health Office, Ratchaburi Hospital, Wat Phleng Hospital, and Ban Pak Sra Health Center to understand the health service system at various levels. Additionally, they observed the living conditions of residents in local villages. This study visit aimed to provide students with hands-on experience and skills in managing sustainable health service systems that effectively address community contexts and needs.
