Graduate Program Students from ASEAN Institute for Health Development Visited HITAP and the Department of Health Service Support, Ministry of Public Health

On February 14, 2025, as part of an ongoing field study, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Director of the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, along with faculty members and students from the Ph.D. in Health and Sustainable Development and the Master of Primary Health Care Management (International Program), visited the Health Intervention and Technology Assessment Program (HITAP). The delegation was honored to be welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wanrudee Isaranuwatchai, Senior Researcher at HITAP, delivered a lecture on "Health Technology Assessment to Support the Development of Benefit Packages under Thailand's Universal Health Coverage System." In the afternoon, the group visited the Department of Health Service Support, Ministry of Public Health, where they were welcomed by Mr. Prasit Piriyapaiboon, Deputy Director of the Department of Health Service Support and Head of the Academic and Innovation Development Group. Mr. Prasit, an outstanding young alumnus of the 2024 Master of Primary Health Care Management Program (Batch 37), served as a guest speaker for the students. He shared insights on policies and the role of Village Health Volunteers (VHVs) as a crucial mechanism for strengthening and enhancing the efficiency of Thailand’s healthcare system.
