AUN-HPN Secretariat Office Holds Meeting with TUN-HPN Committee to Discuss Health Promotion in Thai Higher Education Institutions

On February 18, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Executive Director of AUN-HPN and Director of the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool, Deputy Executive Director of AUN-HPN and Deputy Director for Strategy and International Relations at the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, and the AUN-HPN Secretariat Team, attended a meeting to discuss strategies for advancing health promotion in higher education institutions across Thailand. The discussion focused on three major health challenges: mental health, physical activity, and electronic cigarette use. The meeting was honored by the participation of Asst. Prof. Dr. Vijj Kasemsup, M.D., Director of the Tobacco Control Research and Knowledge Management Center (TRC); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cheema Soralump, Assistant to the President for Student Affairs and Sustainable Development at Kasetsart University; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Chirawath Phatsara, Chair of the Thai University Network for Health Promotion Committee and Assistant to the President of Chiang Mai University. The primary objective of the meeting was to establish a framework for research development related to these three key health issues. The meeting took place at the Krasae Chanawongse Room, ASEAN Institute for Health Development, and online via Zoom Meeting.
