Since 1982, the ASEAN Institute for Health Development has
provided academic services and training programs by applying the
principles and strategies of Primary Health Care (PHC) to address
community health problems.
The goal is to promote good health and self-reliance among
people, enabling them to take care of their own well-being.
The Institute also utilizes Thailand’s public health
achievements as a learning model—serving as a center for study visits,
training, and knowledge exchange for international participants,
including executives, public health leaders, and practitioners from
various regions around the world.
To date, more than 15,000 trainees from 86 countries, both
Thai and international, have participated in the Institute’s training
programs.
