The training course will provide participants with essential fundamentals and technical know-how on the municipal solid wastes management and describe advantages and limitations of solid waste treatment alternatives. It will also discuss recent trends in development to alleviate burden on the environment, develop competency for selecting, planning and integrating treatment techniques appropriate to local conditions, and critically evaluate proposed treatment processes in view of resource recovery for sustainable development.
