On August 15–16, 2024, the ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), Mahidol University, organized the second session of the Training on Mini Master of Management in Health for Ethnic Health Care Managers. Associate Professor Dr. Mathuros Tipyamongkholgul, Acting Deputy Director for Research and Academic Affairs, extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guest speakers, including: Dr. Somsak Chunharas, President of the National Health Foundation, who delivered a lecture on “Leadership in Health”; Dr. Si Thura, who presented on “Leadership and Governance for Health in Ethnic Conflict-Affected Areas in Myanmar”; Emeritus Professor Dr. Prasit Watanapa, President of the Naresuan University Council and Advisor to the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, who spoke on “Human Resources for Health Management”; and Dr. Cho Zin Win, who lectured on “Human Resources Information System Tool and Approach.” A total of 51 participants from various organizations in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar—including KDHW, CHO, EHSSG, BPHWT, BMA, MTC, SHD, PPDC, and CHDN—attended the training. The program was conducted in a hybrid format, both onsite at Centara Life Hotel, Mae Sot, Tak Province, and online via virtual platform, to promote knowledge sharing, capacity building, and leadership development among ethnic health care managers in diverse and complex health system contexts.
