On September 5–6, 2024, the ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), Mahidol University, organized the third session of the Training on Mini Master of Management in Health for Ethnic Health Care Managers. On September 5, 2024, the program was honored to welcome Dr. Jadej Thammatacharee, Secretary-General of the National Health Security Office (NHSO), who delivered a lecture on “Health Equity and UHC.” This was followed by a presentation by Dr. Chomkwan Yothasamut from the International Health Policy Program (IHPP) on “Quality Development and Health System Assessment.” On September 6, 2024, Dr. Khayae Tun and Dr. Thu Hlaing Min Kyaw presented on “Routine Service Quality Assessment: Tools and Approaches,” and Dr. Hnin Hnin Tha Myint together with Dr. Alex Zayar Phyo Aung lectured on “Health System Performance Assessment: Tools and Approaches.” A total of 51 participants from various organizations in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar—including KDHW, CHO, EHSSG, BPHWT, BMA, MTC, SHD, PPDC, and CHDN—joined the training via online platform. The program provided opportunities for participants to enhance their understanding of health equity, system assessment, and quality improvement tools, contributing to the strengthening of health management capacities within ethnic health care organizations in Myanmar.
