Workshop Training for LCC Trainers/Mentors: Session 2

On December 7, 2022, the ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), Mahidol University, in collaboration with the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth), organized the 2nd Workshop Training for LCC Trainers/Mentors. The event was part of the project titled “Enhancing Sustainable Community Health Management through Capacity Building in Health System Management by Learning Together in Real Situations.” The workshop was held from December 7–9, 2022. The training served as a platform for knowledge exchange and reflective learning, allowing participants to share experiences, engage in critical reflection, and apply insights to self-development and system improvement. The content and activities were built upon lessons learned from the first training session of the project, with 50 representatives from 13 regional areas participating. The opening ceremony was presided over by Dr. Pongthep Watcharaphongpaiboon, Director of Office 7, ThaiHealth, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanwadee Suksaroj, Acting Deputy Director for Research and Academic Affairs, AIHD. Asst. Prof. Dr. Arunsri Mongkolchat, Project Director, delivered the opening report. During the afternoon session, participants were divided into groups for reflective discussions and knowledge extraction, aimed at identifying recommendations for improving the learning process through experiential and collaborative practice, to guide the design of future training activities. In addition, the workshop featured a special lecture by Mr. Pongsak Chingsuwan, who spoke on the topic “Applying the Concept of the Triune Brain to Strengthen Community-Based Work and Development.” This training emphasized interactive learning, practical reflection, and experiential exchange to foster a sustainable and adaptive community health management system.
