MAAS program, which has been approved by the MU council in 2004, is the first accredited graduate program in Addiction Studies in Thailand and also in the Asia-Pacific region. This program is designed for students with a background in the field of addiction studies, who wish to acquire a master’s degree level qualification in the area of addiction. This program provides unique opportunities to study addiction in its broadest sense and examine key issues from a national and international perspective by a multidisciplinary, cross-cultural approach to addiction studies. Students have access to the latest information on topics ranging from the neurosciences bases of addiction and treatment as well as prevention and policy through lectures and practicum practice in the field of addiction. This course is made up of three modules, such as suppression, treatment (therapy and rehabilitation of addicts), and prevention.
