Intermediate-Level Mini Master of Management in Health for Ethnic Health Care Managers (14 August – 30 October 2025)
On 15 August 2025, the ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), Mahidol University, conducted Day 2 of the Intermediate-Level Mini Master of Management in Health for Ethnic Health Care Managers via Zoom.
The morning session began with Dr. Cynthia Maung, founder of Mae Tao Clinic in Mae Sot, who shared insights on leadership through her presentation titled Leader’s Experience: Management of Mae Tao Clinic. This was followed by Dr. Suthee Saritsiri, Director of the Health Promotion Division at the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Health Department, who delivered the second session on Leader’s Experience: about the public health service center Bangkok. Concluding the morning session, Asst. Prof. Dr. Somsak Wongsawass led a reflective session on leadership and governance in health, engaging all 64 participants from various ethnic health organizations.
In the afternoon, Dr. Si Thura, Executive Director of Community Partners International, presented on applied leadership skills. Dr. Thu Hlaing Min Kyaw from the Health Equity Initiative followed with a session on situational leadership and coaching, which included interactive group work and exercises. The day concluded with an evaluation and Q&A session, marking the completion of Module 1: Leadership and Governance in Health. The online training was hosted from the Ratchaphruek Room, running from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
This training program is jointly organized by the ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), Mahidol University, in collaboration with Community Partners International (CPI) and the Health Equity Initiative (HEI). Scheduled from 14 August to 30 October 2025, the hybrid-format training aims to strengthen leadership and public health administration skills, while fostering knowledge exchange on Thailand’s public health service system.
