AIHD and Preventive Medicine Association of Thailand presented Lifestyle Medicine program to Medical Council of Thailand

On 3 November 2021, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phudit Tejativaddhana, M.D.; Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development #AIHD along with Assoc. Prof. Yothin Benjawang, M.D.; Preventive Medicine Association of Thailand joined the sub-committee meeting no.11/2564 (B.E.) and presented the Lifestyle Medicine program to enhance capacity building of medical staff through lifestyle medicine that will reduce the severity of chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and the direct/indirect burden on the health system and people receiving services as well as promoting effective coverage of services.
Residency Training in Preventive Medicine (Lifestyle Medicine) is a continuation of a research project to develop a curriculum in lifestyle medicine that has received funding from the Health Promotion Foundation and received cooperation from relevant partners such as the Preventive Medicine Association of Thailand and Thai Health Promotion Foundation that was assigned Mahidol University; ASEAN Institute of Health Development, College of Sports Science and Technology, Institute of Nutrition, and Peaceful Death Centre and Ministry of Public Health; Department of Health, Department of Mental Health, Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine, Academic Section, and Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Public Health.
