AIHD held the AITC 2021 closing ceremony

On 3 December 2021, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phudit Tejativaddhana, M.D.; Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development #AIHD, Mahidol University presided over the closing ceremony of Annual International Training Course: AITC 2021, entitled “Implementing the One Health Approach to Emerging Disease Management into Action: Lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic”, together with Asst. Prof. Somsak Wongsawass; Acting Deputy Director for Academic Affairs. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cheerawit Rattanapan; AIHD instructor also reported on the training course that was supported by Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) via zoom meeting.
This training was honored to have many experts from various organizations to lecture and share the knowledge with participants via online system with 3 modules that are;
Module 1: Fundamental skills of one health concept
- Ecosystem health and trans-disciplinary approach by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj
- One health concepts and knowledge by Asst. Prof. Dr. Saengduen Moonsom
- Behavior change and public health by Asst. Prof. Dr. Aroonsri Mongkolcharti
- Policy, Advocacy, and Regulation by Ms. Ong-orn Prasarnphanich
Module 2: Infection prevention and control for COVID-19
- Sciences for Corona-virus description, current situation by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pornsawan Leaungwutiwong
- Symptoms/clinical outcomes/treatment by Dr. Weerawat Manosuthi
- Safety equipment and PPE by Dr. Suppachok Kirdlarp
- Critical preparedness, readiness and response actions by Dr. Pongtorn Kietdamrongwong
Module 3: Implementing the one health approach into action
- Lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic in Thailand by Prof. Dr. Prasit Watanapa
- Lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic in Japan by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Myo Nyein Aung
- Lessons learned from Asian liver fluke disease by Prof. Dr. Banchob Sripa
- Lessons learned from Southeast Asia One Health University Network by Dr. Vipat Kuruchittham
