The AUN-HPN Secretariat and Mahidol University organized a workshop for reviewers of Healthy Universities, focusing on the newly updated assessment system (HURS 2024)

On November 26, 2024, Mahidol University, represented by the ASEAN University Network Secretariat on Health Promotion Network (AUN-HPN) under the operation of the Core Working Committee on the Development of Healthy University Rating Systems (HURS), organized a HURS Workshop for Reviewers. This workshop aims to equip reviewers with information on the revised HURS assessment criteria and provide guidance on effectively using the HURS system in accordance with the standards of a health-promoting university. This workshop was honored by the presence of Associate Professor Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Director of the ASEAN Institute for Health Development and Executive Director of AUN-HPN, who extended a warm welcome to participants from 11 universities in the AUN-HPN network. Professor Chartchalerm Isarankura-Na-Ayudhya, Dean of Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University and Chairman of the Core Working Committee on the Development of the Healthy University Rating System (HURS), Associate Professor Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool, Deputy Director for Strategy and International Relations, ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Wiwat Rojanapitthayakorn, former Executive Director of AUN-HPN, Assistant Professor Dr. Vijj Kasemsup, Head of the Department of Community Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, joined as speakers and engaged in discussions during this training held at Meeting Room 2108, Training Building, ASEAN Institute for Health Development and via online Zoom Meeting. The core working committee for developing the Healthy University Rating Systems (HURS) has developed a tool for evaluating the results of health promotion activities of universities under the Healthy University Framework (HUF). The HURS Version 2021 system has been in use by the AUN-HPN University Network since its launch in 2021. Currently, the Healthy University Rating Systems (HURS) assessment criteria have been developed and improved in Version 2024, with 39 ASEAN universities expressing interest in participating in the HURS assessment this year.
