AUN-HPN Secretariat Office Holds a Meeting with TUN-HPN Committee to Discuss Health Promotion in Thai Higher Education Institutions

On March 7, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Executive Director of AUN-HPN and Director of the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool, Deputy Executive Director of AUN-HPN and Deputy Director for Strategy and International Relations at the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, held a meeting with the TUN-HPN Committee. Asst. Prof. Dr. Chirawath Phatsara, Chair of the TUN-HPN Committee and Assistant to the President of Chiang Mai University, was the chair of the meeting. The meeting was honored by the participation of Prof. Dr. Wongsa Laohasiriwong, Dean of Faculty of Public Health, Khon Kaen University; Asst. Prof. Ratchot Chompunich, Vice President for Student Affairs and Sustainable Development, Kasetsart University; Asst. Prof. Dr. Chitchamai Ovatlarnporn, Director of Safety, Occupational Health and Working Environment Management Center, Prince of Songkhla University; Asst. Prof. Dr. Sarunya Kanjanawattana, Assistant Rector of Strategy and Budgets, Suranaree University of Technology; Asst. Prof. Chaiwatchara Promjittiphong, Acting Vice President for Planning and Social Strategy, Srinakharinwirot University; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atthakorn Thongtha, Assistant to the President for Academic Affairs, Naresuan University. The meeting aims to discuss three key areas, including 1) the Operational Plan for the TUN-HPN to support the expansion of the network across all regions of Thailand. 2) Implementation Strategies for Health Promotion in Higher Education Institutions, which addresses three major health challenges: mental health, physical activity, and electronic cigarette use. 3) Planning for the 14th Meeting of the TUN-HPN Committee. The meeting took place at the 2106 Room, ASEAN Institute for Health Development, and online via Zoom Meeting.
