On 4 August 2025, the ASEAN University Network - Health Promotion Network (AUN-HPN) Secretariat in cooperation with the Center for Educational Testing and Quality Assessment (CETQA), Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City organized the International HURS Workshop on the topic “Improving Healthy University Implementation Based on Healthy University Rating System (HURS)” to the network of higher education institutions under the Vietnam National University to jointly drive health promotion initiatives and raise the quality of healthy university implementation. The event took place in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Professor Dr. Piyamitr Sritara, M.D., FRCP, President of Mahidol University, Associate Professor Dr. Thanaphan Laiprakobsap, Acting AUN Executive Director and Professor Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh, Director of Center for Educational Testing and Quality Assessment (CETQA) of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, joined in welcoming and officially opening this workshop event. Associate Professor Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Director of the ASEAN Institute for Health Development and AUN-HPN Executive Director delivered a report and presented the objectives of the event. This workshop is considered an important step in strengthening cooperation and expanding the network of health promotion university leaders among ASEAN Countries. In addition, the event was further honored by the presence of Professor Chartchalerm Isarankura-Na-Ayudhya, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies, Mahidol University and Chair of the Committee on HURS Development, Dr. Wiwat Rojanapithayakorn, M.D., Advisor of the AUN-HPN Steering Committee, Mr. Phongsak Thongrattana, Director of the Organizational Health Support Office (Office 8 ), representatives from the Partner Development and International Relations Office of the ThaiHealth Promotion Foundation, Assistant Professor Dr. Chirawath Phatsara, Assistant to the President of Chiang Mai University, Prof. Nguyen Quoc Chinh, Director of the Center for Educational Testing and Quality Assessment (CETQA), and Associate Professor Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool, Deputy Executive Director of AUN-HPN and Deputy Director for Strategy and International Relations at ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University. These distinguished individuals served as lecturers to provide knowledge and exchange experiences on applying the HURS criteria to systematically promote health in universities according to the context of each area. There were 94 training participants from more than 30 universities in the network of higher education institutions of the Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
