Mahidol University, through the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, in collaboration with the National Institute for Emergency Medicine, signed a Memorandum of Understanding

On September 2, 2025, the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Institute for Emergency Medicine. The agreement was signed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Director of the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, and Dr. Pichet Nongchang, Secretary-General of the National Institute for Emergency Medicine, with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool, Deputy Director for Strategy and International Relations, and Mr. Paisan Khonjumpa, Assistant Secretary-General of the National Institute for Emergency Medicine, are serving as witnesses at the ceremony. The signing was held at the Sattabongkot Meeting Room, Emergency Medicine Personnel Development Building, National Institute for Emergency Medicine. The National Institute for Emergency Medicine was established under the Emergency Medical Services in 2008 with the main responsibility of coordinating, promoting, and supporting the emergency medical service system to ensure nationwide quality, standards, and efficiency. This memorandum of understanding between the two institutes aims to strengthen collaboration in developing academic and research work in the field of emergency medicine, such as the exchange of knowledge in emergency medicine, data synthesis to support policy development in Thailand’s emergency medicine system, as well as advancing research to enhance the efficiency of the emergency medical system within the limits of available resources and the challenges of both the present and future.
