ASEAN Institute for Health Development Discusses Double Degree Program Development with Juntendo University, Japan

On September 3, 2025, the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cheerawit Rattanapan, Deputy Director for Research and Academic Affairs and Chair of the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Health and Sustainable Development (International Program), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool, Deputy Director for Strategy and International Relations, along with researchers and staff members, welcomed Assoc. Prof. Myo Nyein Aung, MD, MSc, PhD from the Advanced Research Institute for Health Sciences, Faculty of International Liberal Arts, and the Department of Global Health Research, Graduate School of Medicine, Juntendo University, Tokyo, Japan.
The visit included a meeting to discuss the development of a Double Degree Program, Ph.D. in Health and Sustainable Development, as well as collaborative research projects focusing on healthy aging, which is one of the major health challenges faced by both Thailand and Japan. The meeting took place at the Krasae Chanawongse Meeting Room, ASEAN Institute for Health Development.
