On 28 September 2025, the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, together with the Preventive Medicine Association of Thailand and the Health Region 10 Office, held the closing ceremony of the Executive Program in Public Health Management (MMMH), #47 – Regional Program in Health Region 10. The ceremony was honored by the presence of Dr. Porntep Siriwanarangsun, President of the Preventive Medicine Association of Thailand; Dr. Uraiwan Jumnernsiri, Public Health Inspector for Health Region 10; and Associate Professor Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Director of the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University, who jointly presided over the closing and presented certificates to the 98 program participants. The participants included doctors, nurses, and public health academics from Health Region 10, covering the provinces of Ubon Ratchathani, Sisaket, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, and Mukdahan.
Assistant Professor Dr. Duangsamon Manowan delivered the program report, while Dr. Teerapong Kaewphom, Provincial Public Health Doctor of Ubon Ratchathani, and Dr. Montchai Wiwatanasithipong, Director of Sunpasitthiprasong Hospital, extended their welcome and congratulations to the participants. The event was held at the 50th Anniversary Maha Vajiralongkorn Building, Sunpasitthiprasong Hospital, Ubon Ratchathani Province.
On 26–27 September 2025, the program was honored by lectures from Professor Dr. Prasit Watanapa, President of Naresuan University Council and Vice President of the Medical Council of Thailand, on the topics of “New Leadership for Public Health Executives, Human Resource Management in Health, and Conflict Management.” In addition, Dr. Choak Bulakul, Chairman of the Board of the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Anthropology Centre (Public Organization) and Managing Director of Chokchai Farm Group, delivered a lecture on “Image Building and Modern Management for Public Health Executives.” In the afternoon, participants completed a comprehensive examination to assess their knowledge.
Furthermore, participants presented group projects under the theme “Strategic Plans for Public Health Management,” with feedback and recommendations provided by distinguished experts: Dr. Porntep Siriwanarangsun, President of the Preventive Medicine Association of Thailand; Dr. Teerapong Kaewphom, Provincial Public Health Doctor of Ubon Ratchathani; and Associate Professor Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Director of the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University. The insights offered will contribute to advancing the health system in line with local contexts.
