ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University Participates in the 2nd Symposium of the University of Osaka Institute for Sports and Global Health, Osaka, Japan

On October 10, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University, and Executive Director of the ASEAN University Network – Health Promotion Network (AUN-HPN), assigned Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool, Deputy Executive Director of AUN-HPN and Deputy Director for Strategy and International Relations, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cheerawit Rattanapan, Deputy Director for Research and Academic Affairs, ASEAN Institute for Health Development, to participate in the 2nd Symposium of the University of Osaka Institute for Sports and Global Health held at Saji Memorial Hall, Osaka, Japan. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Prof. Toshihiro Tanaka (Executive Vice President, Osaka University), Prof. Masaru Ishii (Dean, Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka University), and Prof. Ken Nakata, M.D., Ph.D. (Director, Osaka University Institute for Sports and Global Health: OuiSH), at Saji Memorial Hall, 10th Floor, Osaka University Nakanoshima Center, Osaka, Japan. This year’s symposium was organized under the theme “Constructing Health Promotion Strategies via Digital Transformation of Psychophysiological Data.” It served as a platform for experts and stakeholders to discuss and propose innovative approaches to advancing health promotion policies. On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool delivered a presentation on “Osaka–Mahidol Joint Collaboration for Health Promotion and Global Health Research.” In addition, AIHD extended its congratulations to the Osaka University Institute for Sports and Global Health (OuiSH) on the occasion of its 1st anniversary. AIHD and OuiSH have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on academic collaboration since October 2024 and have continued to organize joint academic activities, particularly in advancing research in the fields of Global Health and Health Promotion.
