On November 4, 2025, Mahidol University, through the ASEAN University Network for Health Promotion Network (AUN-HPN) Secretariat Office, organized the 19th AUN-HPN Steering Committee Meeting. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development and Executive Director of AUN-HPN, assigned by Professor Dr. Piyamitr Sritara, President of Mahidol University, presided over the meeting.
Also in attendance were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool, Deputy Director for Strategy and International Relations, ASEAN Institute for Health Development and Deputy Executive Director of AUN-HPN; Asst. Prof. Dr. Ittichote Chuckpaiwong, Vice President for Infrastructure and Environment, Mahidol University; Prof. Dr. Punchada Sirivunnabood, Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities; Asst. Prof. Yuthana Udomphorn, M.D., Dean of College of Sports Science and Technology; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Darunee Phukao Department of Society and Health, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, along with the executives and representatives from various faculties of Mahidol University. The meeting was held at Krasae Chanawongse Conference Room, 2nd Floor at ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University and via Zoom Meeting Platform.
This meeting covered several key agenda items, including 1). Review of past activities conducted by AUN-HPN network such as International HURS Workshop in Vietnam, Thai University Network for Health Promotion Network Committee (TUN-HPN) Activities, and MU Healthy University Day. 2). AUN-HPN Network Expansion Plan 2026 3). Work plan of Mahidol University’s Health Promotion Unit, with an emphasis on participation from all relevant sectors 4). Healthy University Rating System (HURS) 2025 5). Revision of Steering Committee Member of Mahidol University. The meeting also included a presentation on “Developing a Health Promotion Support System for University Students and Staff in Alignment with the ASEAN University Network – Health Promotion Network (AUN-HPN) Framework by Mahidol University and Partners”
The AUN-HPN Steering Committee Meeting is held twice annually, in June and November, with the objectives of defining the strategic directions of the AUN-HPN network, providing recommendations on significant issues to ensure the achievement of the network’s goals, as well as considering and approving the new associate members wishing to join the AUN-HPN network.
