ASEAN Institute for Health Development Visits Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, People’s Republic of China

On November 10, 2025, the ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Director of the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Orapin Laosee, Deputy Director for Administration and Academic Services and Program Director of the Master of Primary Health Care Management (International Program), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cheerawit Rattanapan, Deputy Director for Research and Academic Affairs and Program Director of the Ph.D. Program in Health and Sustainable Development (International Program), visited and held academic discussions with Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, People’s Republic of China. This University Visit was organized by the Graduate School, Mahidol University, with the participation from executives and representatives of various faculties and institutes, including the Graduate School, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia, and the National Institute for Child and Family Development. On this occasion, AIHD discussed potential academic collaborations with the School of Global Health, Sun Yat-sen University. The discussions focused on key areas, such as establishing a Joint Research Unit, developing a Double Degree Program, facilitating Staff and Student Exchange Mobility, and organizing Summer School initiatives. These collaborations aim to promote research development and curriculum enhancement under the framework of the Mahidol University Global Health Coordination Center.
