On 18–20 November 2025, the ASEAN Institute for Health Development participated as part of the academic working group for the international conference titled “The Third ASEAN Academic Conference on Disaster Health Management,” organized by the National Institute for Emergency Medicine (NIEM) with support from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The objective of this conference was to promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences related to health management in disaster situations among ASEAN Member States and partners, as well as to monitor the progress of member countries in capacity building for disaster management.
The ASEAN Institute for Health Development signed an academic cooperation agreement with the National Institute for Emergency Medicine in September 2025, and supported the conference as part of the academic working group. The working group included Mr. Wichukorn Suriyawongpaisal, Head of Research and Health Policy Mobilization, together with research staff: Mr. Pongpaiboon Tularak, Mrs. Warisara Lapinee, Ms. Alina Pant, and Mr. Jeevan Bhatta, who contributed academic support throughout the event.
In addition, Ms. Alina Pant presented her work titled “Psychological Resilience in EMS Providers of Thailand: A Comprehensive Review” and participated in discussions and experience-sharing on emergency medicine at Jubilee Prestige Ratchadaphisek Hotel, Bangkok.
