On 19 December 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development and Executive Director of AUN-HPN, was invited as a keynote speaker to deliver a lecture on the topic “Healthy University Rating System (HURS)”. She was joined by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool, Deputy Director for Strategy and International Relations at the ASEAN Institute for Health Development and Deputy Executive Director of AUN-HPN, in supporting the project to expand the Thai University Network for Health Promotion in Health Region 4. The project was led by Rangsit University, a member of the Thai University Network for Health Promotion (TUN-HPN).
In this regard, the AUN-HPN Secretariat supported the implementation of the project to expand the Thai University Network for Health Promotion in Health Region 4, with the aim of fostering collaborative health promotion networks among universities in the region and providing a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experiences on innovative health care practices for university staff and students.
The project in Health Region 4 aims to promote collaboration between public and private universities across eight provinces—Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Ang Thong, Sing Buri, Lopburi, Saraburi, and Nakhon Nayok—in advancing health promotion initiatives. It also seeks to support university development in line with the Healthy University concept under the Healthy University Framework (HUF) and to promote the widespread adoption of the Healthy University Rating System (HURS).
The event was honored by the welcome remarks delivered by Dr. Supachai Kunaratnpruk, Vice President for Medical College and Health Science, Rangsit University. It also featured distinguished speakers and facilitators, including Dr. Wicharn Girdwichai, Dean Emeritus, College of Oriental Medicine; Prof. Emeritus Dr. Chutima Sirikulchayanonta, Faculty Member of the College of Medicine; Associate Professor Dr. Monporn Chartchamnin, Director of the Health Welfare Office, Rangsit University; Mr. Kosum Setthawong, Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse, Health Welfare Office; Mr. Sihadet Wichaihatkha, Office of Alumni and Community Relations; and Ms. Phattraporn Chantrangsi, Registered Nurse, Medical Clinic. The activities were conducted in a workshop format.
In the afternoon, Art Therapy and group relationship-building activities were organized by art therapists and psychologists, providing opportunities to exchange experiences on promoting mental well-being with Rangsit University and partner universities.
The project was attended by 50 participants from 13 universities, namely: St. Theresa International University, Asia-Pacific International University, Pathumthani University, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University, Praboromarajchanok Institute, Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Rajabhat University, Thepsatri Rajabhat University, Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage, Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi, North Bangkok University, Panyapiwat Institute of Management, and Shinawatra University.
The project was held at the Guan Yin Hall, Rangsit University, Pathum Thani Province, with support from the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth).
