ASEAN Institute for Health Development Partners with the Department of Health to Empower a New Generation of Public Health Leaders through Mini Master of Management in Health (Mini M.M. in Health), Batch 2

ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), in collaboration with the Department of Health, organized the Mini Master of Management in Health (Mini M.M. in Health), Batch 2, held from 7–9 January 2026. The program aimed to strengthen the capacity of public health executives and personnel to confront the challenges of modern health systems through an integrated learning process combining knowledge, leadership, and innovation. On 7 January 2026, participants were honored to learn from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surakiat Achananupap, who shared his experience on Effective Teamwork, alongside self-awareness and understanding of others, as well as leadership communication, to enhance purposeful and collaborative performance. On 8 January 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Director of the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, delivered a lecture on Systematic Analysis of Public Health Work Using Quality Tools, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool, Deputy Director for Strategy and International Relations, who participated in discussions and provided feedback on public health work analysis. In the afternoon, Mr. Bunyawit Chuaychuang, an expert in Service Design and Innovative Organization Development from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, presented on Innovative Thinking, followed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jukkrit Wungrath, who lectured on Strategic Planning and Decision-Making Strategies. The day concluded with group project activities that enabled participants to apply their knowledge in practical contexts. The program concluded on 9 January 2026 with lectures by Dr. Prakasit Kayasit, Deputy CEO, Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth), on Modern Leadership, Motivation Building, and Network Management for Success, and by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chailert Pichitpornchai, Director of the Institute for Innovative Learning, Mahidol University, on The Use of AI for Effective Management, reflecting future directions in public health organization management. Overall, participants gained knowledge, strategic tools, and inspiration to drive public health initiatives toward sustainable outcomes. A total of 40 participants from the Department of Health attended the training, held at the MIDAS Meeting Room, MIDA Hotel Ngamwongwan, Nonthaburi.
