On 14 January 2026, the ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Director of the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Orapin Laosee, Deputy Director for Administration and Academic Services; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cheerawit Rattanapan, Deputy Director for Research and Academic Affairs and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool, Deputy Director for Strategy and International Relations, attended the Royal-sponsored Abhidhamma funeral chanting ceremony for Professor Emeritus Dr. Prawase Wasi. Professor Emeritus Dr. Prawase Wasi was a distinguished former member of the Mahidol University Council and a former policy advisor to the ASEAN Institute for Health Development. Attendance at the event was to express condolences and to honor and commemorate his invaluable contributions and lifelong dedication to society and the nation. The ceremony was held at the 150th Anniversary Pavilion, Makut Kasatriyaram Ratchaworawihan Temple, Bangkok.
