Knowledge transfer and exchange in Nakhon Sawan Province
23 December 2020
The ASEAN Institute for Health and development #AIHD, Mahidol
University arranged a knowledge transfer and exchange for its research project “The synthesis of policy for the development of the district quality of life development” in Nakhon Sawan Province on 23 December 2020.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phudit Tejativaddhana, M.D., AIHD Director and Head of “The synthesis of policy for the development of the district quality of life development” project, supervised the said knowledge transfer and exchange activity with district public health staff from Kaoliao District, Krokphra District, and Latyao District. Local researchers have also come to join and participate in the event.
The project’s research assistants: Mr. Wichukorn Suriyawongpaisal and Mr. Praramuch Ackaboot, have helped Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phudit Tejativaddhana during this particularly important activity.
The research team has found that the working performance of the 3 districts was outstanding, particularly the risk management in traffic, safety food for health, and the promotion of the quality of life of the people in the area.
This remarkable performance and accomplishment are all due to the demonstrated noteworthy strength and previous experiences of the staff working for the development of district health system. All of these were also attributed to the consistent support provided by the provincial administration.
However, with all the success that the project has achieved, there are also challenges that the research team has encountered. These challenges include the project’s sustainability, the need for additional resources, a district-level structure, and setting the much-needed roles and duties of the Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Interior, and other related organizations.
