ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), Mahidol University, conducted the 30th Natth Bhamarapravati Speech with the theme “Primary Health Care and COVID-19 Prevention” during its 37th Foundation Day celebration held on 23 July 2020 at Boonsiri Conference Rm., AIHD.
Mahidol University President, Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D., graced the event with his presence and presided over the opening of AIHD’s 37th Foundation Day celebration and the 30th Natth Bhamarapravati Speech.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Phudit Tejativaddhana, M.D., Director AIHD, Mahidol University, welcomed all the honored guests and attendees of the event and gave the rationale of the activities in his opening remarks.
Dr. Somsak Chunharas, M.D., President of the Committee of National Health Foundation and a former Deputy Prime Minister for Public Health of Thailand, was the honored distinguished guest speaker of the 30th Natth Bhamarapravati Speech: Primary Health Care and COVID-19 Prevention. The main topic of the Academic Talk was “Field Epidemiology: the secret of Thailand’s Health System and its challenges.”
Other invited speakers were Adjunct Prof. Wiwat Rojanapithayakorn, M.D., M.P.H., a Prince Mahidol Award recipient in 2009, an Adjunct Professor at AIHD, Mahidol University, and AUN-HPN Secretary; Kumnuan Ungchusak M.D., Senior Expert Committee of the Department of Disease Control of Thailand and Committee of Thai Health Promotion Foundation; and Walairat Chaifoo, M.D., Director of Division of Epidemiology, Ministry of Public Health of Thailand.
Dr. Vijj Kasemsup, M.D., Deputy Director of AIHD, acted as the moderator of the 30th Natth Bhamarapravati Speech event.
