AIHD conducted online interview for collecting research data

On 10 August 2021, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phudit Tejativaddhana, M.D.; Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development #AIHD, Mahidol University and head of Policy Options and Guidelines to Reform and Strengthen the Roles of Village Health Volunteers and Bangkok Health Volunteers towards the Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS) project, Assoc. Prof. Dr.Thunwadee Suksaroj, research team from AIHD, Department of Health Service Support (Ministry of Health), and The BMA Health Department collected research data from Village Health Volunteers of Patthani province via Zoom Meeting.
This research project had chosen a qualitative method for collecting data from a focus group with 11 administrators, who were representatives from Provincial Public Health Office, District Public Health Office, Hospitals, Sub-District Health Promoting Hospital, Community Health Center, and Health Service Support Office; District 12, Songkhla. The aims of this interview were to study the components of Roles of Village Health Volunteers and Bangkok Health Volunteers in the context of varied health problems, urban development and expectations.
In this regard, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phudit Tejativaddhana also gave a welcome speech, presented the objectives and descriptions, and answered questions. The interviewees gave information, suggestions, and shared knowledge about roles of village health volunteers and other interesting facts useful for analysis of the operating system and fulfills the expectations of key stakeholders in reforming and strengthening the roles of village health volunteers and Bangkok Health Volunteers towards the Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
