AIHD set the direction of Lifestyle Medicine program

On 30 August 2021, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phudit Tejativaddhana, M.D.; Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), Mahidol University and head of the Lifestyle Medicine project joined the meeting to set the direction of Lifestyle Medicine program and training via zoom meeting. On this occasion, Dr. Pornthep Siriwanarangsan, M.D.; President of Preventive Medicine Association of Thailand presided over the meeting along with Ms. Amporn Benjaponpitak, M.D.; General Director of Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine, Mr. Kasem Wetsutthanon, M.D.; Director of Metropolitan Health and Wellness Institution, Asst. Prof. Monchai Chottidao; Administrative Deputy Dean of College of Sports Science and Technology, Ms. Titiporn Tuangratananon, M.D.; Health Promoting section of Department of Health, Dr. Tanupol Virunhagarun, M.D., Chief Operating Officer and Director of BDMS Wellness Clinic, and Mr. Wichukorn Suriyawongpaisal; project coordinator. During the meeting, they gave suggestions that are 1. Adjusting the Leadership curriculum by emphasizing a practice-based teaching and learning model so that learners can apply their skills for providing health services according to a chronic care model 2. Integrating the lifestyle medicine program with the training program of the Department of Health so that the doctors can apply for residency examination, and 3. Presenting lifestyle medicine program through the Association of Preventive Medicine of Thailand for accreditation.
