On 20 September 2021, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phudit Tejativaddhana, M.D.; Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development #AIHD, Mahidol University joined the CPCE Health Conference 2021 “Post-pandemic health and long-term care: A new paradigm” as a supporting organization via online meeting.
Professor Peter P. YUEN, Conference Chairperson and Dean, College of Professional and Continuing Education, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University was honored to preside over the meeting. He also gave a speech on topic “Health and long-term care systems reform in Hong Kong: Insights from the COVID-19 pandemic”.
Dr. TSANG Ho Fai, Thomas President, Hong Kong College of Community Medicine delivered the Keynote Presentation I titled “What evolving trends in healthcare may we expect to see in a post-pandemic world?”.
In this regard, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phudit Tejativaddhana, M.D. was invited to be the speaker in the Plenary session III and gave a presentation on ‘Responses to an ageing society, long-term care policies, and COVID-19: The ASEAN and Thailand experience’ together with Dr. Vo T.H. Man; Tokyo Medical and Dental University, Japan, and Dr. Nalinee Nakittipha Chuakhamfoo; AIHD instructor.
Moreover, Professor David BRIGGS AM; AIHD’s adjunct professor was also invited to be the speaker and presented the lecture on “The need for authentic leadership in long-term care post pandemic: Australian perspectives”.
Students of the Master’s Program in Primary Health Care Management and Social Health Protection also presented their thesis works. These were “Acceptability and willingness to pay for influenza vaccination among healthcare professionals in Vietnam” by Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang, and “Health service utilisation and financial burden among people suffering from non-communicable diseases in Vietnam” by Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Linh.
