AIHD and TICA organize online training on “Public Health Measures and Adaptation of Thailand for the Emergence of COVID-19”

ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), in cooperation with the Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA), organized an online seminar on “Public Health Measures and Adaptation of Thailand for the Emergence of COVID-19” via the Zoom Webinar. Asst. Prof. Dr. Phudit Tejativaddhana, M.D., Director AIHD, Mahidol University presided over the opening of the online training and welcomed all the participants through Zoom. Asst. Prof. Dr. Orapin Laosee, the course Director, introduced the 3-week training program, which starts from 27 July 2020 to 14 August 2020. Asst. Prof. Dr. Orapin Laosee also talked about the objectives, training guidelines, and schedule. Asst. Prof. Somsak Wongsawass served as the moderator. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pornssawan Leaungwautiwong, Head of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University, took the honor to be the speaker in the first session of the training program. In addition, AIHD has also collected various media resources for the training via the Google Classroom online teaching and learning management system. AIHD recognizes the Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA), along with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Thailand, for their support in making the training program possible. There are 50 training participants coming from 25 countries: Armenia, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iraq, Laos, Madagascar, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, The Gambia, Malawi, Mauritius, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Samoa, Solomon Island, Sudan, Tanzania, Timor Leste, Thailand, and Zambia.
