On 18 March 2022, the first session of the workshop “System thinking and real-world evidence”, organized by SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute, and co-hosted by ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), Mahidol University, the Planetary and Global Health Program, St. Luke’s Medical Center College of Medicine, Philippines and Sunway Centre for Planetary Health, Malaysia has been started. Participating into the workshop were clinical and policy experts from Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. The lectures in the first session were presented by Prof David Matchar and A/Prof John Ansah. From Thailand, 10 policy makers and analysts, who are experts on NCDs in national level joined the workshop, with the coordination from AIHD.
