AIHD co-hosted the third session of the workshop “System thinking and real-world evidence”

On May 13 2022, the fourth and last session of the workshop “System thinking and real-world evidence”, organized by SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute, and co-hosted by ASEAN Institute for Health Development #AIHD, Mahidol University, the Planetary and Global Health Program, St. Luke’s Medical Center College of Medicine, Philippines and Sunway Centre for Planetary Health, Malaysia was held.
From Thailand, 10 policy makers and policy analyst and academic staffs from Health Department, Department of Disease Control (DDC), and Praboromarajchanok Institute attended intensively into the workshop. Dr.Sompong Chaiopanont from Department of Health, Ministry of Public Health was the leader and facilitator of Thai team throughout the four sessions.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phudit Tejativaddhana, M.D, Director of the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Dr. Man Vo and Dr. Nalinee Nakittipha Chuakhamfoo from AIHD were collaborators during the workshop.
In the last session, Dr. Thitiporn Sukaew – policy analyst from Praboromarajchanok Institute, Thailand Ministry of Public Health presented on behalf of the Thai team about ways to link the systems thinking with real world data to improve diabetes complication situation in Thailand.
