Monitoring and Evaluation Training in Migrant Public Health Program

During 22 -26 May 2023, ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD) in collaboration with Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR) and Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies (IHRP), Mahidol University organized the Monitoring and Evaluation Training in Migrant Public Health Program. On this occasion, Emeritus Professor Dr. Aphichat Chamratrithirong, Executive Advisor to the Director of the Institute for Population and Social Research delivered opening remarks along with lecturers and invited speakers from various sectors who also attended the opening ceremony at Lotus Room 2106, Training Building, ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University.
The M&E training program was designed to provide participants with knowledge and understandings on the health situation of migrants in Southeast Asia, particularly migrant workers in Thailand. Participants will be able to learn the basics and design a monitoring and evaluating initiatives framework for public health programs. Moreover, M&E participants will be able to adopt appropriate qualitative and quantitative measures to develop public health programs in migrant communities.
With a positive feedback from more than 21 participants, attended at this 5-day training program were Master’s Degree students and PhD students from the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Institute for Population and Social Research and the Institute for Human Rights and Peace Studies, Mahidol University as well as personnel from relevant health agencies and migrant rights.
