8th Thai University Network for Health Promotion Network Committee (TUN-HPN) Meeting

On 12 October 2023, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti; Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, Mahidol University along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chuthamanee Suthisisang; Acting for Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development and Executive Director of AUN-HPN, Dr. Wiwat Rojanapithayakorn, M.D.; Advisor of AUN-HPN, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj; Acting for Deputy Director for Administration, ASEAN Health Development Institute and Deputy Executive Director of AUN-HPN, Asst. Prof. Dr. Supaporn Songpracha; Deputy Executive Director of AUN-HPN, and Dr. Nuttapun Supaka; Director of Partnership and International Affairs Section, Thai Health Promotion Foundation and other TUN-HPN Committees attended the 8th Thai University Network for Health Promotion Network Committee Meeting. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Narin Hiransuthikul, M.D.; Chair of the TUN-HPN Committee for the year 2023 and Vice President for Strategic Monitoring and Assessment, Planning, Budgeting and Well-being, Chulalongkorn University presided over the meeting at Meeting Room 203, Chamchuri Building 4, Chulalongkorn University and via Zoom Meeting Platform.
At the meeting, the TUN-HPN Committee jointly discussed the following topics:
1. The article titled "Building a Health Promotion Exemplar: The Development of an International University Network Model through the AUN Healthy University Framework," authored by AUN-HPN Secretariat Office, has been selected to represent Thailand at the ASAIHL Interconference 2023 in Vietnam as the official country report.
2. A transition in the tenure of the Chair of the Thai University Network for Health Promotion Network Committee. The new term of office will commence on May 1, 2023, and conclude on April 30, 2024.
3. Progress report on universities that have expressed interest in participating in the Healthy University Rating System (HURS) Version 2023.
4. The 8th AUN-HPN International Advisory Committee & Global Health Congress 2023 which will be held on November 24-25, 2023, in Tokyo, Japan.
5. Collaborative research efforts in order to exchange and learn methods for expanding health promotion networks.
6. Preparations for the 2nd Thai Healthy University Network Conference which will be held in early 2024.
Operations of the Thai University Network for Health Promotion Committee (TUN-HPN) was funded by Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth) to support universities in Thailand to develop their potential and become leaders in health promotion. In addition, the AUN Healthy University Framework (HUF) can be implemented thoroughly among the Thai University in order to achieve its goal of becoming a "Healthy University" and resulting in sustainability of good health in the community. The TUN-HPN Committee consists of 6 main universities, namely Burapha University, Chiang Mai University, Chulalongkorn University, Khon Kaen University, Mahidol University and Prince of Songkla University to jointly drive health promotion policies as well as to expand the network both domestically and internationally.
