The 15th AUN-HPN Steering Committee Meeting

On November 1, 2023, Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D., President of Mahidol University presided over the 15th AUN-HPN Steering Committee Meeting at Krasae Chanawongse Conference Room, 2nd floor, ASEAN Institute for Health Development #AIHD, Mahidol University and via Zoom Meeting Platform. Also attended in the meeting were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chuthamanee Suthisisang, Acting for Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development; Dr. Wiwat Rojanapithayakorn, M.D., Advisor of the AUN-HPN Steering Committee; Dr. Nuttapun Supaka, Director of Partnership and International Affairs Section, Thai Health Promotion Foundation; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Deputy Executive Director of AUN-HPN and Acting for Deputy Director for Administration, ASEAN Institute for Health Development; Asst. Prof. Dr. Supaporn Songpracha, Deputy Executive Director of AUN-HPN; the AUN-HPN Steering Committee and representatives from various departments in Mahidol University. The pivotal agenda items discussed during this meeting were as follows:
1.Progress report on universities that have expressed interest in participating in the Healthy University Rating System (HURS) Version 2023
2. Outcomes of the 8th Thai University Network for Health Promotion Network Committee Meeting
3. Outcomes of the HURS Workshop “Improving Healthy University Implementation based on Healthy University Rating System (HURS)”
4. Preparations for the 8th AUN-HPN International Advisory Committee & Global Health Congress 2023 which will be held on November 24-25, 2023, in Tokyo, Japan
5. AUN-HPN Joint Symposium at the Global Health Congress, titled "Pathways to Sustainable Universities: Best Practices from AUN-HPN and HURS," was accredited as one of “commemorative events for the 50th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation” by the AUN Secretariat and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
The 15th AUN-HPN Steering Committee Meeting served as a platform for collective consideration and approval of Kalasin University and Suranaree University of Technology as additional associate members of AUN-HPN. Furthermore, the meeting facilitated a joint discussion and recommendations for expanding the network and advancing health promotion policies through the adoption of AUN Healthy University Framework (HUF) and active participation in the Healthy University Rating System (HURS).
