9th Thai University Network for Health Promotion Network Committee (TUN-HPN) Meeting

On 5 January 2024, Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D., President of Mahidol University along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chuthamanee Suthisisang; Acting for Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development and Executive Director of AUN-HPN, Dr. Wiwat Rojanapithayakorn, M.D.; Advisor of AUN-HPN, Dr. Nuttapun Supaka; Director of Partnership and International Affairs Section, Thai Health Promotion Foundation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj; Acting for Deputy Director for Administration, ASEAN Health Development Institute and Deputy Executive Director of AUN-HPN, Asst. Prof. Dr. Supaporn Songpracha; Deputy Executive Director of AUN-HPN, and other TUN-HPN Committees attended the 9th Thai University Network for Health Promotion Network Committee Meeting. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Narin Hiransuthikul, M.D.; Chair of the TUN-HPN Committee for the year 2023 and Vice President for Strategic Monitoring and Assessment, Planning, Budgeting and Well-being, Chulalongkorn University presided over the meeting at Meeting Room 203, Chamchuri Building 4, Chulalongkorn University and via Zoom Meeting Platform. The key issues discussed at the meeting included the progress report on the network expansion project and joint research projects of the Thai University Network for Health Promotion in 2023, lessons learned from the Thai university network that used the Healthy University Rating Systems (HURS) system to drive health promotion policies. In addition, the Thai University Network for Health Promotion Committee discussed and prepared for the 2nd National Academic Conference on Health Promotion, which will be held in March 2024. Operations of the Thai University Network for Health Promotion Committee (TUN-HPN) was funded by Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth) to support universities in Thailand to develop their potential and become leaders in health promotion. In addition, the AUN Healthy University Framework (HUF) can be implemented thoroughly among the Thai University in order to achieve its goal of becoming a "Healthy University" and resulting in sustainability of good health in the community. The TUN-HPN Committee consists of 6 main universities, namely Burapha University, Chiang Mai University, Chulalongkorn University, Khon Kaen University, Mahidol University and Prince of Songkla University to jointly drive health promotion policies as well as to expand the network both domestically and internationally.
