AIHD meet Development of Lifestyle Medicine Training Program committee

Asst. Prof. Dr. Phudit Tejativaddhana, M.D., Director of the ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), Mahidol University and Research Project Head of the Development of Lifestyle Medicine Training Programs has called for a meeting to discuss the progress of the training programs. AIHD organized the meeting via the online meeting platform zoom on 21 September 2020 at the Ratchaphruek Rm, AIHD.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Vijj Kasemsup, M.D., Deputy Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nantawat Sitdhiraksa, M.D., Deputy Director for Academic Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sakda Arj-ong Vallibhakara, M.D., Asst. Prof. Dr. Isareethika Jayasvasti, and Dr. Pornthep Sirivanarangsan, M.D., President of Thailand Preventive Medicine has joined Asst. Prof. Dr. Phudit Tejativaddhana in welcoming the members of the Development of Lifestyle Medicine Training Program Committee.
Twenty-four committee members were present in the said meeting. They were Ms. Titiporn Tuangratananon, M.D., Bureau of Health Promotion; Prof. Dr. Visith Chavasit and the working team from the Institute of Nutrition, Mahidol University; Mr. Kasem Vetsuthanon, M.D., Director of the Metropolitan Health and Wellness Institution; Asst. Prof. Dr. Monchai Chottidao and the working team from the College of Sports Science and Technology, Mahidol University; Mr. Tanupol Virunhagarun, M.D., Chief Operating Officer and Director of BDMS Wellness Clinic and his working team; Ms. Amporn Benjaponpithak, M.D, Health Regional Inspector District No. 5, Ministry of Public Health; Mr. Rungruang Kitpati, M.D., Consultant of the Public Health Ministry, and Ms. Sunisa Soapkratonk, Nakhonratchasima Health Provincial Office.
During the online meeting, the Committees have discussed the progress and development of the teaching contents and exchanged knowledge and ideas on the teaching and learning management. They also discussed the results of the development of the modules, teaching manuals, and the pretests and posttests of the six modules.
The six modules included in the training program are 1) Principle and Self Care, 2) Nutrition, 3) Physical Activity, 4) Sleep and its Effect on Health and Well-being, 5) Mental Health, and 6) Smoking, Alcohol, and Addiction.
The committees have also provided information and suggestions about the teaching period, preparations in organizing experts’ meetings, and preparations for the pilot training for medical and public health staff. The next meeting is scheduled on 26 October 2020 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
