On 1 July 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chuthamanee Suthisisang; Acting for Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), Mahidol University together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mathuros Tipayamongkholgul; Acting for Deputy Director for Research and Academic Affairs met Lieutenant Sorawud Preededilok; Minister attached to the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) to discuss the development of the competence of health staff in border areas through a short-term training course (Mini MM) on Primary Health Care to enhance Border Health. The meeting also recommended supporting education in LMICs in both CLMV and African countries, and enhancing research or cooperation in developing health systems to prevent transboundary emerging infectious diseases (TEIDs) in the ASEAN region. Ms. Sudaraht Unchaiya, Development Cooperation Officer, Senior Professional Level and related staff from TICA and AIHD also attended the meeting at the Government Complex Ratthaprasasanabhakti, Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA).
