AIHD and AIHI, Australia organized AIHD-AIHI Knowledge Sharing

On 5 August 2024, ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), Mahidol University collaborated with Australian Institute of Health Innovation (AIHI), Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences, Macquarie University, Australia to organize the international seminar entitled “AIHD-AIHI Knowledge Sharing” via online Zoom Meeting and onsite at room no.2204 ASEAN Institute for Health Development (AIHD), Mahidol University. The seminar aims to exchange experience and knowledge from the research work with lecturers, researchers, students, and interested persons.
The seminar featured esteemed speakers from both AIHD and AIHI. From AIHD, the speakers included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool, who lectured on "Building Community Resilience in Health Systems Based on the Integrated Approach for Coping with Climate Change Situations," Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mathuros Tipayamongkholgul, who discussed "Community-Based Surveillance and Prevention for Suicide," Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, who presented on "Emergency Medical Service and Health System," and Asst. Prof. Dr. Bang-On Thepthien, who talked about "Healthcare Challenges at the Thai-Myanmar Border."
From AIHI, the speakers included Prof. Yvonne Zurynski, who lectured on "Building Health Workforce Resilience to Cope with Climate Change Disasters," Prof. Rebecca Mitchell, who discussed "Examining Young People Who Had Been Hospitalised with a Mental Health Condition and the Impact on Their Academic Performance at School Compared to Matched Peers," Prof. Robyn Clay-Williams, who presented on "Working Together: Innovation to Improve Emergency Department Performance and Patient Outcomes and Experience for Five Complex Consumer Cohorts," Dr. Anindya P. Susanto, who lectured on "Harnessing AI to Improve Management of Cardiovascular Disease in Resource-Constrained Settings," and Sagda Osman, who talked about "A Systems Approach to Investigating the Unintended Consequences of Telehealth in Rural and Remote Australia."
During the seminar, participants exchanged valuable experiences and knowledge, which they can apply to their research areas and topics of interest.
