On January 31, 2025, Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, M.D., President of Mahidol University, assigned Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti; Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council, Mahidol University, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Director of ASEAN Institute for Health Development and Executive Director of AUN-HPN, to attend the 13th Thai University Network for Health Promotion Network Committee (TUN-HPN) Meeting. The meeting was held at the Meeting Room 210, Office of President Building, Prince of Songkla University, and via Zoom Meeting Platform. The meeting was chaired by Asst. Prof. Chirawath Phatsara, Chair of the Thai University Network for Health Promotion Committee for 2024-2026 and Assistant to the President of Chiang Mai University and Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, President of Prince of Songkla University. Also attended in this meeting were Dr. Wiwat Rojanapithayakorn, M.D., Advisor of TUN-HPN; Prof. Dr. Narin Hiransuthikul, M.D., Advisor of TUN-HPN; Dr Prakasit Kayasith, Senior Assistant CEO and Acting Director of Partnership and International Affairs Section, ThaiHealth; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool, Deputy Director for Strategy and International Relations and Deputy Executive Director of AUN-HPN; and other TUN-HPN Committees. The meeting was honored by the presence of distinguished speakers, including Dr. Wonchat Subhachaturas, Vice Chairman of the Smoke-Free Higher Education Development Project; Mr. Phongsak Thongrattana, Director of the Office 8, ThaiHealth; Asst. Prof. Ratchot Chompunich, Vice President for Student Affairs and Sustainable Development, Kasetsart University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atthakorn Thongtha, Assistant to the President for Academic Affairs, Naresuan University; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Sarunya Kanjanawattana, Assistant Rector of Strategy and Budgets, Suranaree University of Technology, sharing their insights and expertise on health promotion and related topics. Additionally, participants from the Thai University Network for Health Promotion Network (TUN-HPN) across all regions attended the meeting. The meeting discussed several key topics, including: 1) An overview of the activities conducted by the Thai University Network for Health Promotion during the past year. 2) A summary report on participation in the Healthy University Rating System (HURS) for 2024. 3) The 10th Anniversary of the ASEAN University Network - Health Promotion Network (AUN-HPN) 4) The operational plan for the Thai University Network for Health Promotion Network (TUN-HPN) under the project to enhance health promotion capacity in universities within the AUN-HPN network. The operations of the Thai University Network for Health Promotion Network (TUN-HPN) are funded by Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth) to support universities in Thailand to develop their potential and become leaders in health promotion. In addition, the AUN Healthy University Framework (HUF) can be implemented thoroughly among the Thai University to achieve its goal of becoming a 'Healthy University,' contributing to the sustainable promotion of good health within the community. The TUN-HPN Committee consists of 6 main universities, namely Burapha University, Chiang Mai University, Chulalongkorn University, Khon Kaen University, Mahidol University and Prince of Songkla University to jointly drive health promotion policies as well as to expand the network both domestically and internationally through learning, collaborative research, and network expansion. The TUN-HPN Meetings are scheduled to be held every three months.
