ASEAN Institute for Health Development Welcomes the Distinguished Faculty Member and Students from Kanagawa University of Human Services

On February 10, 2025, the ASEAN Institute for Health Development, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thunwadee Suksaroj, Director of the Institute, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool, Deputy Director for Strategy and International Relations, faculty members, and staff extended a warm welcome to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yu Kubota and a group of Master of Public Health students from Kanagawa University of Human Services during their visit to the university and the institute. On this occasion, the institute provided a special lecture on "The Thai Healthcare System", delivered by Dr. Akadet Chaichanavichakit, a faculty member of AIHD. The lecture explored the structure and service framework of Thailand’s healthcare system and facilitated an exchange of perspectives on public health between Thailand and Japan at Krasae Chanawongse Meeting Room, AIHD. In addition, the visitors also had the opportunity to visit the Faculty of Physical Therapy, where they were welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jarugool Tretriluxana, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Therapy, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Pakaratee Chaiyawat, Associate Dean for Foreign Relations and Corporate Image. The visit included an introduction to the faculty’s services and research projects. Furthermore, the group visited the Golden Jubilee Medical Center, where they were greeted by Asst. Prof. Dr. Rujira Wanotayan, Assistant Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication, Faculty of Medical Technology. The visit included a tour of the healthcare services provided at the center, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sumana Mas-oodi, Head of the International Center for Medical and Radiological Technology. This session provided insights into the practical implementation of the Thai healthcare system within a medical institution, serving as a crucial foundation for future academic and professional development in public health.
