On February 19, 2025, the ASEAN Institute for Health Development welcomed Prof. Sangbum Shin, Director of the Institute for Poverty Alleviation and International Development (IPAID) at Yonsei University, South Korea, on the occasion of his visit to the institute. He also honorably delivered a special workshop on "Living Lab-based International Educational Cooperation."
On this occasion, the institute’s executive team, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool, Deputy Director for Strategy and International Relations, welcomed the distinguished guest. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Orapin Laosee, Deputy Director for Administration and Academic Services, along with faculty members and graduate students attended the special lecture at Meeting Room 2108, Training Building, ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University.
The Living Lab concept is an innovation-driven approach to solving various challenges, including social, environmental, and health issues. It emphasizes problem identification, analysis, solution development, and testing for effectiveness before actual implementation. This methodology can be applied to tackle complex and challenging public health issues effectively.
